The "Neutral Language"

English has been and will continue to be the universal language that has no frontiers what’s o ever. It’s the only language that is spoken by the airlines when they departure and arrive over 157 countries. Just as they explained in the video the pilot, who is from Italy, might by flying to Italy but still communicates in English. It is also used in 75% of all telegrams and carts. As well as 80% of computer data is in English. How did English reached such a higher level? What’s the story behind it?

English is the most talked language all around the world. Without English you are probably not going to be able to succeed in life. It has now become an essential tool that you must acquire. It’s not only a spoken language among many countries, but it’s a form to communicate with the rest of the society. For example India and Africa use it as a “link language” (4:48) because is a “neutral language” (5:00). Without it they would be able to communicate with the rest of the world and receive aid from powerful countries, such as the United States. The world wouldn’t be able to function with one universal language.

I have heard many times now that the Chinese are going to take all over the world and because of that we have to learn to speak Chinese. It is true that they have become one (if not the most) of the most important nations on the world, but why go through all of the process of learning a complete new alphabet when we already have a universal language? Off course knowing Chinese will give you a lot of bonus points, but is it really worth it?
English is the most important language of the world, lets just leave it like that.
